Traditional village and Pagoda Private Tours

PRG-1 (4 hours) : BAT TRANG CERAMIC VILLAGE

• BAT TRANG: Pick up at the hotel and transfer to the riverside village of Bat Trang Village, where distinctive ceramics are made and used throughout the delta region for over 500 years. The vitality of this village is still blown up by the hundreds of pottery kilns on fire day and night. We stroll around various cottage industries and watch craftsmen forming, painting and glazing their products in traditional ways. The trip ends after arrival in Hanoi.

PRG-2 (4 hours): VAN PHUC SILK VILLAGE

• VAN PHUC, a silk village is a great place to silk cloth being produced on the loom. There is a showroom where you can buy silk by the meter, much more exciting that buying it in the shops! On this half-day excursion from Hanoi you’ll be picked up at 08:00 and head to the nearby village of Van Phuc. You’ll travel in an air-conditioned vehicle, accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
• Renowned for centuries for its silk production and self-sufficiency, the village has recently seen a revival of interest in its craft as the demand for silk has surged both domestically and internationally.
• When you arrive, your guide will show you around the village, stopping to visit the families for whom silk production is their traditional work. You’ll also see the shrines of the village where the first masters are worshipped.
  Hear a presentation from a group making silk, learning about the process from the planting of mulberry trees to the processing of silk thread taken from boiled cocoons. At the end of the presentation, you’ll have a chance to go shopping for locally made products.

PRG-3 (Full day): DUONG LAM ANCIENT VILLAGE

• 08:00 AM: Our driver & tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, then travel west of Hanoi to visit Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys; visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Have some talks with the locals in their ancient houses by visiting the ancient houses of Mr. Lam, Mr. Ha, and Mr. Huyen. Enjoy your special lunch with Vietnamese foods in an ancient house.
• PM: After resting, we continue driving to visit Mia Pagoda (another hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in the 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, among with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities. Then visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Driving back Hanoi.
